John Teresko brings 30 years of journalism experience to bear on his coverage of the high-tech, innovation, industrial equipment and automotive beats. He is the editorial project leader for the Technology & Innovation Awards and Special Issue, which selects the Technology Leader and the Technologies of the year. He also wrote the Emerging Technologies column for over two decades.

Teresko has been with IndustryWeek since its birth in 1970, after working at Steel magazine, its predecessor, since 1959. He began his career as a technical writer at Automatic Sprinkler Corp. of America in 1955, and continued working there until 1958.

Teresko won an award from the ASBPE in 1987 and again in 1988, and his 1991 report on Japanese business won state and national awards. A member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Press Club of Cleveland, and the Society of Professional Journalists, he attended John Carroll University and received his bachelor's in economics from Youngstown State University.
