Editor-in-Chief David Blanchard brings a wealth of knowledge in the supply-chain-enterprise-software and logistics industries and over 20 years of trade publishing experience to his role as IndustryWeek editor-in-chief. Most recently, Blanchard held the position of editor-in-chief of Logistics Today. Previously in his seven-year Penton career, Blanchard led the editorial team of Supply Chain Technology News, which later merged with Transportation & Distribution to become Logistics Today.

In addition, Blanchard has launched numerous print and online newsletters, is a frequent speaker at industry events, and has written several books, including Supply Chain Management Best Practices (John Wiley & Sons, 2006). He has won a number of awards for his writing and editing, including being named one of the nation's top columnists for two consecutive years by the American Society of Business Publication Editors.
