FRANKFURT: DaimlerChrysler's subsidiary Debis Systemhaus will not be sold, Klaus Mangold, CEO of DaimlerChrysler's Services (Debis) says. Mangold strongly rejected a May 4 report in the Die Welt newspaper that Deutsche Telekom would buy Debis. "Debis Systemhaus is not for sale," Mangold said, adding there were no talks with Telekom and all reports were pure speculation. Deutsche Telekom refused to comment, saying they would not contribute to speculation. According to Die Welt, Deutsche Telekom wants to take over the information technology section of Debis. The price seems to be a sticking point. However, observers believe an agreement to be possible, the report said.
