Compiled ByJill Jusko DigiTerra Inc.'s SolidVision supply-chain information tool is designed to allow businesses to manage and integrate their entire supply chain, aggregate inventory from multiple locations, or link to transportation carriers' Web sites to track order status. According to the Indianapolis-based company, SolidVision provides a real-time, micro-level view of enterprise data and can be installed in as little as 60 days. The solution includes event-management tools that allow businesses to identify event triggers within any enterprise database. An automatic notification is sent via e-mail or pager when a trigger occurs. SolidVision uses Microsoft Web technologies and a Microsoft SQL Server database. "With SolidVision, our customer service representatives have detailed order, package and inventory information," says industrial engineer Rich Eby of Thomson Learning, which employs SolidVision.
