The Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, claims to have a unique doctoral program for business executives seeking to better prepare themselves for the management challenges of the early 21st Century. The three-year Executive Doctorate in Management program does not require its students to give up their day jobs. Rather it relies on a series of weekend and four-day residencies, and email and fax to keep students in touch with faculty and each other. Qualifications include an M.B.A. (or equivalent), at least 15 years work experience--including at least 10 years in management. Thirty-nine students are currently enrolled. Cost is $22,000 per year.
