A logistics company and a trade-management company will offer combined services to manufacturers operating globally. The companies are GT Nexus Inc., logistics manager, and Open Harbor Inc., trade services; and the integrated platform, based on a Web-hosted model, will deliver real-time content for trade security, provide end-to-end global trade workflow and logistics execution, and add visibility and control into the supply-chain process, according to the companies. Open Harbor will provide the software, infrastructure and trade content; GT Nexus will provide supply chain logistics functionalities, such as order management, supply chain modeling, event management and analytics, transportation procurement and contract management and execution. The joint solution will be marketed to customers and prospects of both companies under a referral agreement. It will use Web infrastructure and integration methodologies already deployed successfully by both companies. Application programming interfaces will allow exchange of information and services between the two platforms.
