Compiled By Travis Hessman Invensys Power Systems has made a hefty addition to its manufacturing capabilities with the acquisition of the manufacturing assets of Power-Sonic Corp. in Tijuana, Mexico. The $28 million deal will provide the Raleigh, N.C. -based maker of single-source power solutions with new facilities to manufacture its Energy Storage battery products. Globally, Invensys Energy Storage has 15 manufacturing sites and 5,000 employees. The company says the acquisition was largely a strategic effort to meet increased demand for the company's large capacity storage cells.
