Dassault Systemes to Buy IBM Product Cycle Unit

Purchase price is $600 million

Software company Dassault Systemes said on Oct. 27 that it was paying $600 million for IBM's product lifecycle software activities.

Dassault Systemes, which has had a licensing agreement with IBM for these products, is to pay cash for client contracts, sales, support and assets concerning the activities which focus on product lifecycle management.

This branch of IBM employs 700 people in several countries.
