ERP manufacturer Plex Systems has launched a free online manufacturer's management assessment tool to help identify best practices for manufacturers and improve enterprise-level and manufacturing operations processes.

The Web-based diagnostic tool, which requires a 10-minute online survey, is based on research from Aberdeen Group. According to Plex Systems, the analysis is designed to help manufacturers understand which process, organizational and technology traits help companies achieve best-in-class performance. Responses reveal specific opportunities for improvements through personalized recommendations from Aberdeen manufacturing experts.

"This assessment tool will help manufacturers determine whether they are considered best in class regarding their ERP implementation or if their enterprise rates as a laggard in comparison with their peers in the industry," said Aberdeen Vice President and Group Director Cindy Jutras. "The ability to identify weaknesses and strengths helps manufacturers improve their processes and better compete in the global economy."

The diagnostic survey allows automotive, food and beverage, aerospace, medical device and other manufacturers to see how their organization stacks-up against top performers. At the conclusion of the assessment, each participant receives a customized report that identifies actionable best practice and provides recommendations for improvement of manufacturing and enterprise management strategies and results.
