Milliken has earned 54 Japanese Institute of Plant Maintenance Excellence awards and has been named twice by EHS Today among the 12 safest companies in North America. An innovation company that has been exploring, discovering and creating ways to enhance people's lives since 1865, Milliken is a leader in maintenance and reliability.
Milliken is the only American company that has won the top manufacturing award in both the United States and Japan -- the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in the U.S. and the TPM Excellence Award sponsored by the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance. In addition, Milliken has been named one of the World's Most Ethical Companies by Ethisphere magazine for 5 years in a row.
Milliken's unique approach to a daily management system can help any organization create a unique state of operational excellence. Positioning its workload as 20% daily operations, 60% continuous improvement/innovation working in cross-functional teams, and reducing the firefighting to 20%, Milliken has completely addressed the failures of a traditional management model. This presentation will offer a stronger investigation into Milliken's Daily Management System -- what has worked and why and how you may avoid portions of the journey that failed. Born out of more than 30 years of evolved manufacturing processes, Milliken is a company you can benchmark to accelerate your maintenance and reliability journey.
