IndustryWeek's report on the 50 top-performing publicly traded U.S. manufacturers based on financial performance over the past three-year period in six areas: revenue growth, return on equity, profit margin, asset turnover, inventory turnover and return on assets. The combined revenues of the top performers in the 2004 report are close to $700 billion and their profits, more than $65 billion.
