Will install a second production line at its Guangdong plant.

Toyota Motor Corp. said June 17 that its joint venture in China with Guangzhou Automobile would invest about $380 million to increase output in response to fast-growing demand.

The venture will install a second production line at its plant in Guangdong to churn out an additional 120,000 Camry sedans a year, raising the venture's annual output to 320,000 vehicles.

Toyota, on course to overtake General Motors as the world's top selling automaker, is expanding aggressively in emerging markets to make up for sluggish sales at home and tougher conditions in the United States.
