Lockheed Martin MS2 Tactical Systems-Clearwater Operations is located on the
industrial yet beautiful Florida coastline. This facility is a trusted and
valuable asset to Lockheed Martin and its customers, with critical full-service
manufacturing capabilities. Whether solving complex manufacturing, production,
testability, material management, or life cycle issues, MS2 Clearwater helps
customers meet their defining moments. Our full service manufacturing provides
services from prototype to turnkey manufacturing. Our capabilities include
System Integration, Electronic Module and Cabinet Assembly, Electromechanical
Assembly, Radio Frequency (RF) assembly, circuit card assembly, cable and
harness assembly, and fiber optics. One hundred percent of our employees
receive lean production training and use this training to improve production
operations in our high mix, low volume environment.
What
You Will See on the Tour:
The tour will include all major operations from receiving material on the dock,
through production and test, to shipping our product to our customer. The use
of our automatic storage and retrieval system for managing the majority of our
material volume will be highlighted along with major production areas that
include fiber optics, cable and harness assembly, circuit card assembly, module
assembly, cabinet assembly, and environmental stress screening areas. You will
see how even in a high mix, low volume, DoD environment, lean, six sigma, and
6S principles are utilized.

Guidelines:
Every person will need a
photo ID and/or a green card to be permitted access to the facility. Any
foreign nationals will need to be approved by Lockheed Martin's Export Control
in advance.
No competitors will be
allowed. Companies that will not be permitted to tour the facility (other
exclusions may apply) include: BAE Systems, Boeing, EADS, General Dynamics, L-3
Communications, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Rockwell Collins, SAIC, United
Technologies, DRS, Sypris, JABIL and Aeroflex
No one will be permitted
to enter the facility without proper photo identification.
No open toe/open back
shoes will be permitted.
No cameras/camera phones
or other recording devices will be permitted in the facility.

Preclusion statement: IW
may be required to preclude attendees from taking part in your selected plant
tour. This step will be taken solely by IW at the request of our host plant
based upon the proprietary nature of information that is to be presented. The
host plants' decisions are final and will be communicated to attendees in
advance. If this occurs, attendee will be refunded the full registration fee.
Some participants on the tour may be asked to complete a Non Disclosure
Agreement (NDA).
