Italian Growth Slows To 1.7%

Considerable decline from 2nd quarter.

Growth of the Italian economy slowed sharply in the third quarter and stood at 1.7% over 12 months, data from the official statistics institute Istat showed on Dec. 7. The economy expanded by 0.3% in the third quarter after growth of 0.6% in the second quarter.

However, growth over 12 months was unchanged in the third quarter from the second-quarter figure of 1.7%.
