Why it is a Big Year for 3D Printing at IMTS 2014 [Video]

Sept. 9, 2014
Insights from a leader in industrial 3D printing, ExOne COO and president Dave Burns.

"We're making the amazing practical," quips ExOne COO and President Dave Burns.

In this exclusive interview Burns explains why 2014 is a big year for 3D printing at IMTS. He notes that while the adaptation phase from traditional manufacturing to 3D printing is taking off this year, he expects it to be a long and rigorous process.

Ultimately, he expects to see 3D printing become a component of industrial manufacturing, not a replacement for it -- and making "production quality and production cost" parts and products alongside traditional technologies.
