Pushing the Frontiers of Manufacturing

May 12, 2015
The theme for MAPI’s conference, Pushing the Frontiers of Manufacturing, will focus on executive education and professional development for senior manufacturing leaders.

IndustryWeek is the official media partner with the Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation for the 3rd Annual MAPI Executive Summit to be held May 14-15 in Chicago.

The theme for MAPI’s conference, Pushing the Frontiers of Manufacturing, will focus on executive education and professional development for senior manufacturing leaders. The MAPI agenda will offer a mix of general sessions, panel discussions, smaller group breakout sessions and networking opportunities.

Innovation will be a key theme with Deloitte hosting presentations on “Transformational Innovation in an Era of Exponential Change,” and “Developing a Disciplined Strategy for Ecosystem Innovation.”

In addition, many experts are debating what the future holds for manufacturers. But there is no debating where renowned economist and furturist Dr. Lowell Catlett stands. His presentation on “Why the Future of U.S. Manufacturing Is So Damn Bright” will share that industry should prepare for phenomenal growth as technology, demographics, and new customer expectations are driving business starts and industry reformulation.

The conference will end with a unique and different perspective on the role of teamwork. Robert O’Neill was a Team Leader of the Naval Special Warfare Development Group, and will give the concluding keynote: “Never Quit: The Story of a Life Built on Successful Missions.” One of the most highly decorated combat veterans of our time, he trained 800 special operations and tactical operators. He now uses his expertise to help organizations with leadership, decision-making and operating in uncertain environments.

IW’s Editor-in-Chief Pat Panchak will be in Chicago to provide valuable insight for our readers.
