Apriso's FlexNet Chosen as Frost & Sullivan's 2008 Global MES Product of the Year

Cites ability to deliver a high impact, accelerated return on investment in manufacturing operations

Based on its recent analysis of the manufacturing execution systems (MES) market, Frost & Sullivan has recognized Apriso's FlexNet for its 2008 Frost & Sullivan Global MES Product of the Year Award. FlexNet, Apriso's innovative operations execution platform, has strategically bundled production (MES), warehouse (WMS) and quality (QMS) applications together into a single, unified manufacturing operations management solution that can provide a faster return of investment than competitive offerings, which must be delivered with multiple 'siloed' applications and then integrated to match functionality.

The consulting firms tapped Flexnet due to its ability to deliver more functionality than a traditional MES, providing higher returns to enhance a manufacturer's profitability. It does this by improving manufacturing efficiency, material synchronization, quality, market responsiveness and return on investment of business systems.

"While several MES products lay claim to improving operational performance, Apriso's FlexNet stands apart from the competition based on its ability to provide a high return on investment, faster than competitive products," says Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst Muthuraman Ramasamy. "Direct benefits include synchronized material flows, improved manufacturing efficiencies and simplified processes to establish and maintain manufacturing audit trails for regulatory compliance. Based on the high-impact, quick ROI, which can often be achieved within a six month deployment period or less, Frost & Sullivan has designated FlexNet as our Global MES Product of the Year."

Apriso's FlexNet shares a common business process platform with a Services Oriented Architecture (SOA).

"Apriso has pioneered the 'extended-MES' concept and has become an integral part of the value-chain of a manufacturer, adds Ramasamy. "Apriso is a SAP, Oracle and Microsoft-certified partner. Customers worldwide have expressed immense satisfaction on the ERP and PLM integration capabilities of FlexNet, finding it the right complement to enterprise planning systems for real-time visibility and control over manufacturing operations for improved adaptability."
