Camcraft from on High
The primary products produced at Camcraft are precision-machined components for automotive engines and hydraulic controls.
Approximately 270 people are employed at this 144,000-square-foot facility.
Fuel injector bodies
Camcraft has a robust training program. Its in-house training is conducted by Don Slawinski, who has 49 years of experience in the trades.
These are several of the machines used by apprentices in the Camcraft apprenticeship program. As Camcraft's in-house trainer told IW during an earlier visit, recruits don't jump straight to CNC machining. “Too many people get out here on the new machines and start pushing buttons and they don’t know how metal cuts, how it feels and why we have all the tooling and the angles."
Robotics Has a Role
Teamwork, training and automation help Camcraft excel.
Do You Know What's Going On?
Camcraft's visual displays through the facility make it easy for everyone to quickly gain an understanding of performance.
An important piece of Camcraft's success is the skill of its tool room members. Camcraft has the capability to make most of the tooling it needs.

Not an Afterthought
The Camcraft lunchroom provides a nice environment for employees.
As anyone who has ever taken a tour knows, a knowledgeable tour guide brings a tremendous amount of value to the experience. Camcraft's tour guides were exceptional, as were the leadership and every employee who contributed to a great day at Camcraft.
