Description

In today's cutthroat manufacturing environment, companies need to do significantly more with significantly less resources.  Lean, with low-cost simplicity as a basis, should have lasting power. It doesn't, according to global research showing long-term growth of finished-goods inventories and increased lead times for most manufacturers (including many with acclaimed lean credentials). This is largely due to narrow vision: applying lean more for the sake of operational efficiency than for quick response all the way to end customers.

A key prescription is equipping and operating factories for concurrent production -- toward the lean ideal of continuous replenishment based on daily sales from downstream customers, or same-day production of every customer order.  Mobile technology is increasingly being utilized as a way to deliver results.  Regardless of whether you're in the warehouse, on the road, or onsite for a sale, mobility is more than merely a buzzword. It's fast becoming a way to improve business processes, which in turn eliminates waste and generates real value across your business.

Another is intensive silo-busting collaboration, both within the company and outward to supplier and customer entities.  An enabler is redefining and promoting lean for its natural customer-side competitive benefits, while treating waste elimination as a valued methodology rather than lean's essence.  If you're frustrated with lag time in paperwork processing, inaccurate data, or lack of inventory or fleet information, learn how mobile technology is breaking down these barriers and allowing manufacturing organizations to make smarter decisions.

In this webinar we will explore how manufacturers are becoming more lean, incorporating mobile technology to:

  • Reduce inventory and cycle times -- by ensuring more accurate and real time inventory levels are maintained
  • Be more responsive to customer requests and changes in demand
  • Streamline maintenance processes through the elimination of paper and deployment of tablet technologies
  • and more

Companies are eliminating waste and delivering more value to their customers thanks to continuous replenishment and silo-busting collaboration.  Learn how mobile technology can help you make progress toward these goals.
