Lexmark Helps Out Local School

Copying, printing and faxing just got easier for teachers, administrators and students at a Lexington, Ky., high school thanks to Lexmark Industries. The Lexington-based printer manufacturer donated on Oct. 10 130 products valued at $500,000 to Bryan Station High School. As a result, the school will be equipped with a laser printer in each classroom, extensive equipment installation and teacher training, and the ability to grade papers using scanners, according to an Oct. 11 article published in the Lexington Herald-Leader.

"It is so great to have a corporate citizen like Lexmark right here in the community," said Fayette County Public Schools Superintendent Stu Silberman in an Oct. 10 press release. "Lexmark has stepped up in a substantial way to help our students have the latest technological advantages as they prepare to enter a global society."
