From KC Masterpiece barbeque sauce to Fresh Step cat litter to Brita water-filtration systems, Clorox is the quintessential diversified company.
According to CEO Jerry Johnson in a May 5, 2005, report on fiscal 2005 third-quarter financial information, "We're pleased with our 3% sales growth for the quarter following strong first-half sales growth of 6%. We continue to have intense commodity price pressure, and we are taking steps to mitigate these costs. Overall, we feel good about the fundamental health of our brands and businesses."
Clorox is participating in the next wave of cleaning products with its iRobot Scooba Robotic Floor Washer, a specially engineered cleaning solution for Scooba, a robot designed to clean dry hard floors automatically. "Clorox is always looking for opportunities to partner with innovative companies that can help us grow and enter new categories," said Larry Popelka, vice president, new business ventures.
