June 2008 -- Net income more than doubled for Lam Research Corp. for the fiscal year 2007, ended June 24,
2007. Net income of $685.82 million compared with net income of $335.76 million in the previous
fiscal year.
Total revenue for 2007 was $2.57 billion, compared with $1.64 billion in fiscal 2007.
Lam Research, which supplies wafer fabrication equipment and services to the semiconductor
industry, delayed filing until March 2008 Form 10-K relative to the fiscal year ended June 24,
2007, following a decision to investigate its granting of stock options during the years 1997
through 2005. An independent committee's review was completed in February 2008.
Gross profit for Lam Research reached $1.31 billion compared with $827.4 million in fiscal 2006.
R&D expenses during fiscal year 2007 were $285.3 million.
Lam Research reported that non-U.S. sales accounted for approximately 84% of total revenue in
fiscal year 2007, 86% in fiscal year 2006 and 84% in fiscal year 2005. "We expect that
international sales will continue to account for a significant portion of our total revenue in
future years," the company stated in its annual filing.
