IMTS 2012 -- Universal Robots Introduces Cage-Free Industrial Robots

Universal Robots' Stefan Tøndering Stubgaard provides an overview of the cage-free, simple-to-program UR5 robot during its U.S. debut at IMTS 2012.

Universal Robots' UR5 robots have been popping up in small and mid-sized shops across Europe since 2009. The robots' flexibility, ease-of-use and safety have made them ideal for such facilities, the company says.

During its 2012 North American debut at IMTS, Stefan Tøndering Stubgaard, area technical support manager for Universal Robots, provides an overview of the controls and capabilities that are driving the growth of these new "cage-free" machines.
