Glen Fields is Vice President of Go-to-Market and Strategy for PTC. In this role, Fields is a member of the leadership team responsible for setting strategic go-to-market initiatives for the ThingWorx IoT Platform. He is focused on ensuring that the benefits of IoT, augmented reality, and ubiquitous wireless technology enhance the business value for industrial enterprise applications.
Fields has more than 20 years of global sales, product development, and systems engineering experience in the industrial IoT, augmented reality and wireless industries. His accomplishments include implementing successful go-to-market and sales strategies for PTC, DAQRI, Anokiwave and Tyco Electronics. Fields was an early pioneer of the industrial IoT at Emerson, implementing predictive maintenance and asset management programs within discrete and process manufacturing facilities.
Fields has been a key contributor for two successful startup companies and sits on the Board of Advisors for Anokiwave, a private fabless semiconductor company providing highly integrated semiconductor solutions to the 5G and IoT wireless markets.He holds a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and a Master's of Business Administration from the University of San Diego. He is also a Veteran and Commander in the United States Navy.
