Description
Most manufacturing organizations today understand the value of lean and seek to implement its practices in their enterprises. Focusing on delivering value for customers ensures that the organization is dedicated to minimizing waste and maximizing resources. Manufacturers have become more efficient by leveraging lean, and they continue to focus their organization on lean practices to ensure competitiveness.
Similarly, Software as a Service (SaaS) or "the cloud" is providing new efficiency gains for manufacturers. By allowing manufacturers to focus on their core competencies rather than commoditized IT, the next phase of lean has begun. New cloud-based systems are allowing manufacturers to quickly optimize their workflows in order to more easily adopt lean principles within their organizations. The cloud has begun to improve productivity and freed resources which can be better utilized on business development or delivering end-user value.
Attend this IndustryWeek-hosted webinar featuring analyst Cindy Jutras; Gerry Wall, COO of True North Avionics; and Ranga Bodla of NetSuite. These presenters will discuss how manufacturers' understanding and willingness to consider the cloud has changed dramatically in the last few years. In this exclusive webinar, you’ll hear some of Jutras' latest research into SaaS understanding, as well as insights from True North Avionics about why the cloud is transforming their manufacturing enterprise. You'll learn how the cloud helps enable lean methodologies through kanban-style electronic signaling; real-time WIP tracking and reduction; and easy access to the metrics that matter most.
