Prior to starting at Penton in 2004, Cable was an award-winning beat reporter and editor for several small newspapers in Northeast Ohio, and has been a stringer for the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Mary Grow began her career with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), where she was a founding member of its Change Management Practice, and specialized in developing training systems for clients in the finance, government and healthcare sectors.
After Andersen, Grow spent nine years at Xerox in Rochester, NY, where she was accountable for the deployment of a number of corporate quality initiatives (TQM, Six Sigma, SDLC) under the Global Business Process Reengineering Program.
Grow left Xerox to join QAD, Inc., a provider of ERP solutions for manufacturing companies, where she spent three years in Australia supporting QAD's Asia Pac clients in the life sciences and consumer products verticals, including HindustanLever, GE, GlaxoSmithKline, Nicholas Piramal, Faulding/MaynePharma, Novartis, Sara Lee, Lion Nathan, Compumedics, and Anca.
Grow left QAD and Australia in 2004 to work for MaynePharma, where she managed a number of business expansion projects in their US operations before relocating to corporate head office in London, UK as VP, Global IT.
In 2007, MaynePharma was sold to Hospira, and Grow left to join former MaynePharma executives Peter Jenkins and Stuart Hinchen at JHP Pharmaceuticals, a startup company specializing in the manufacture and distribution of sterile injectables. She was responsible for the establishment of JHP's corporate IT infrastructure and migration of the primary manufacturing facility from the seller's to JHP's commercial operations platform.
Grow has spent the past four years managing the replacement of the company's quality control and technical operations IT solutions. As a member of the executive governance council which oversees JHP's corporate Operational Effectiveness Program initiatives, she has sponsored and/or managed a number of projects using the GE Intelligent Systems platform to upgrade or replace old BAS systems and exploit their capabilities to support new MES solutions.
Grow holds a bachelor's from Nazareth College of Rochester, and a master's in business administration from Clarkson University.

Matthew Wells has 15-plus years of experience in Solution Implementation, Product Development and Marketing for Industrial Automation and Manufacturing Operations Management Software. As a General Manager at GE Intelligent Platforms, he is responsible for leading the global Work Process Management business with a focus on the digitization of industrial work processes for both manufacturing and infrastructure industries.
Wells joined GE in 2001 and prior to this position he served in a number of roles with GE Intelligent Platforms including Services, Strategy Development, Product Management and Product Marketing. As a result, he has worked with a large number of customers in a wide variety of vertical industries including Life Sciences, Food & Beverage, Automotive, Metals, and Pulp & Paper. In addition, he has a patent application in his name.
Before joining GE, Wells worked at other companies focused on industrial software, including building and deploying dynamic process simulations of petrochemical facilities and other advanced manufacturing optimization software.
Wells holds a degree in Biochemical Engineering from the University of Western Ontario, Ontario, Canada.

Torsten Wegner has been with GE for 19 years in various operational, quality, and process improvement roles.
Currently, he leads the Lean Six Sigma team for GE Intelligent Platforms, driving process improvement activities across GE Intelligent Platforms ITO (Inquiry to Order) and OTR (Order to Remittance) business processes. He is a certified Master Black Belt as well as a Shingijutsu trained Lean Leader.
Wegner worked in GE Lighting in various manufacturing operations roles and spent time with GE Capital in an equipment leasing business, focused on transactional process improvement and service operations. Before joining GE Intelligent Platforms in 2007, he was the Global Sourcing Leader for GE Inspection Technologies, a leading manufacturer of non-destructive testing equipment.
Wegner holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a master's in business administration from Duke University.
