The U.S. Dept. of Energy's Federal Energy Management Program is sponsoring Energy '99: An Energy Efficiency Workshop and Exposition. The event will be held Aug. 23 to 25 at the Omni Rosen Hotel in Orlando. As many as 1,000 energy managers from government, industry, and the private sector are expected to attend. Seven specialized learning tracks will be offered. They include: whole building design, technology, case studies, program and policy, financing/project development, operations and maintenance, and sourcing energy. Pre-conference tours will include the Kennedy Space Center, and Tampa Electric's Energy Technology Resource Center. More than 100 energy-efficiency, renewable-energy, and water-efficiency suppliers will discuss their products at the exposition.
