Compiled ByDeborah Austin Japanese manufacturers now can use MAPICS' Supply Chain Management (SCM) Solution in their native language. MAPICS Inc., Alpharetta, Ga. -- provider of collaborative, extended enterprise applications for manufacturers -- has launched a double-byte-enabled version of its SCM Solution translated for the Japanese market and designed for manufacturers. Functionalities of the MAPICS SCM Solution -- in any language -- include manufacturing planning and scheduling, supply-chain planning, performance analysis and collaboration. The Japanese version offers SQL (Structured Query Language) server support and seamlessly integrates with MAPICS enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions -- and is readily integrated with other ERP backbones, says MAPICS. Constraints-based planning technology creates optimized and executable plans for manufacturing plants; real time collaborative tools enable planning information exchange with suppliers and customers.
