Manufacturing execution software maker Wonderware Corp. will be acquired by UK-based Siebe plc, which also is the parent company of manufacturing controls firm Foxboro, in a deal valued at about $375 million.

Headquartered in Irvine, Calif., Wonderware is expected to continue to operate on its own, although access to the Siebe family of technology and customers will enable it to expand into new industries. The two companies plan to integrate their respective product lines over the next six months.
