China's Huawei to Create Jobs in Britain

Chinese telecoms giant Huawei said Wednesday that it planned to create 500 jobs in Britain over the next three years, doubling its headcount in the country.

Huawei UK, based in the southern English town of Basingstoke, said it would recruit engineers, managers and sales staff.

"We are committed to bringing more job opportunities to the UK, which is a key market for us," Victor Zhang, chief executive of Huawei UK, said.
