A Global Connection

Online transactional platforms look to facilitate international trade.

They say it's a small world, and it's only getting smaller. But there are still quite a few challenging aspects to dealing with foreign buyers and suppliers. Companies like B2X Corp., an international trading firm, are trying to facilitate the process by using online transactional platforms -- aimed at minimizing risk and taking the complexity out of international trade.

As part of an effort in China, B2X has entered into a five-year cooperation agreement with the official Internet agency of the Chinese government, the Internet Information Center. The agreement will enable unprecedented support and endorsement of the trading platform, which is currently being beta tested and is expected to be fully operational by the beginning of 2008.
