Daewoo Wins Power Plant Order from Morocco

Price tag is $1.05 billion

South Korea's Daewoo Engineering and Construction said on Dec. 27 that it has won a $1.05 billion order to build a thermal power plant in Morocco.

Daewoo said a contract was signed with Jorf Lasfar Energy to build the 700-megawatt plant for 1.2 trillion won in an industrial complex southwest of Casablanca.

The company plans to complete construction by April 28, 2014.
