Manufacturing Technology

Editor's Note

I am usually loathe to lead a newsletter with a video because it's a larger commitment of time than an article to click into, but I'm sharing a Production Pulse segment I hosted about the new SEC cyberincident reporting rules and basic steps you can take right now to shore up your cyberdefenses.

Keep in mind that the new SEC rules also require companies to define their cybersecurity risk management, strategy, and governance.

It's not only incidents like the recent Clorox Co. hack (that cost them a 20% decline in net sales for Q1 2024) that manufacturers can't sweep under the rug anymore. It's also whether or not manufacturers are adequately prepared for when bad actors come knocking on the doors to their network.
