The future of manufacturing lies in Industry 4.0 (or 5.0 if you’re that far ahead of the game), largely due to the introduction of advanced technology, most notably robots and AI. While digitization is important for manufacturers of all sizes, it’s not necessarily the magic bullet to efficiency. There are still kinks to work out, from fire-causing glitches to figuring out streamlined implementation, that remind us that we still need the human element.
