More than one-third of employers in the supply chain space say there aren't enough workers to consistently fill schedules. On top of that, the workers who are already employed are asking for more money. And as if that wasn't making it hard enough on employers, ICE is preparing to expand its sweep into even more plants and facilities in the future.
Is it any wonder, then, that automation and AI are increasingly becoming coping mechanisms for employers worried about finding sufficient human labor to get all the work done that needs getting done?
