The October Challenger Report from outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas reported a large number of job cuts last month. In fact, it was the highest number of job cuts for the month of October in more than 20 years. Cost-cutting and artificial intelligence were the top reasons employers cited for layoffs.
