Jeffrey (Jeff) Plew is Director, Business Development for NextEra Energy Resources (NEER), the world’s largest generator of renewable energy from the wind and sun and a world leader in battery storage. Mr. Plew is responsible for developing and implementing energy storage projects across North America while also providing technical evaluation and design support needed to meet grid requirements and provide reliability services. He was appointed to this position in July 2015.
 
Mr. Plew has worked in a variety of field operations, transmission system operations and management since he joined in 2004. Prior to his present position, Mr. Plew managed NextEra Energy’s renewable operations and diagnostic center, supporting over 130 wind, solar and energy storage sites within the NextEra Energy generation portfolio, accounting for over 18,000 MW of generating capacity. Mr. Plew holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Central Florida and is a NERC-certified Reliability Coordinator.

Rachana Vidhi
Director of Sales Engineering
NextEra Analytics, Inc. (NEA)

Dr. Rachana Vidhi is the director of sales engineering for NextEra Analytics, Inc. (NEA), a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, the world’s largest generator of renewable energy from the wind and sun and a world leader in battery storage. NEA develops forecasting and optimization solutions that enable low-cost sustainable power systems. Dr. Vidhi leads the sales engineering team for NextEra 360™, the software platform for end-to-end energy management and decarbonization needs. Dr. Vidhi was appointed to this role in April 2022.

Previously, Dr. Vidhi led the engineering, design and integration of some of the first solar and storage projects for NextEra Energy Resources, and she also developed innovative technologies for hybrid resource deployment and long-term operations that have been patented. She has extensive experience in a variety of renewable energy technologies including energy storage, wind, photovoltaic, concentrated solar thermal and fuel cells. Prior to joining NextEra Energy, Dr. Vidhi worked as research assistant at the University of South Florida’s Clean Energy Research Center and developed optimization algorithms for different renewable energy systems.

Dr. Vidhi holds a doctorate degree in chemical engineering from the University of South Florida, a master’s degree in management from Harvard University and a bachelor's degree in energy engineering from Indian Institute of Technology.
