Global consulting firm Accenture and marketplace management software provider Auctionworks have teamed to provide enterprise customers with services to sell new, excess, end-of-life and refurbished products via eBay. Accenture says customers currently using its Connection to eBay liquidation service will be transitioned to Auctionworks, while going forward Accenture will offer inventory liquidation services to clients via Auctionworks. Accenture introduced its Connection to eBay services in 2002. "While Connection to eBay has been successful in attracting mid- to large-sized companies to eBay, it is clear that scale and market share are also critical success factors in this evolving marketplace," says Accenture's Jack Wilson, chief executive, Business Process Outsourcing. "We are pleased to have formed an alliance with Auctionworks, an established and recognized leader in this space." Founded in 1999, Atlanta-based Auctionworks is an eBay Preferred Solution Provider.
