Capacitor Manufacturer Finds Value-Chain Solution In interBiz

(ATC), a manufacturer of ceramic RF and microwave components, will implement PRMS -- the flagship Enterprise Resource Planning solution of Islandia, N.Y.-based interBiz, an e-business applications division of Computer Associates International Inc. -- to improve and manage its value chain. "To help us manage our double-digit growth, we needed a supply-chain solution that created full visibility of manufacturing to eliminate shop-floor constraints and to allow for flexibility of scheduling," says Victor Insetta, president and CEO of ATC. "interBiz's platform provides a comprehensive solution that can be fully integrated into our current technology infrastructure." The PRMS application is intended to offer ATC a tightly integrated suite of products and a full array of services that speed implementation and increase return on investment. "ATC is growing quickly and needed a supply-chain solution that allows the company to schedule their manufacturing jobs and manage their capacity while allowing the company to maintain its rapid growth," says John McCarron, senior vice president and general manager of interBiz Supply Chain Group. ATC, based in Huntington Station, N.Y., designs, develops, manufactures, and markets RF/microwave/millimeter/wave ceramic and porcelain capacitors and thin-film products.
