The Coca-Cola Co. has hired United Kingdom-based Excel to outsource its supply-chain network in Mexico. Excel will receive incoming product from manufacturers at its Cedros campus facility, north of Mexico City, then unload product, manage inventory and distribute shipments to 79 Coca-Cola bottlers throughout the country. Under Excel's campus model, Excel operates as the single point of contact in local, regional and global markets. Solutions include warehousing, distribution management, airfreight and seafreight, customs management, road and rail transportation, packaging and reverse logistics. The Excel Cedros campus includes companies targeting the automotive, health-care, retail and consumer markets.
