The U.S. Commerce Dept. has launched an online survey to gather views and experiences of people across the nation on high-tech training programs. The survey, located at www.ta.doc.gov/ittraining, will solicit opinions from all stakeholder groups, including IT workers, educators, employers, government agencies, trainers, and public-private partnerships working to address the nation's demand for IT workers. The American Competitiveness in the 21st Century Act requires the secretary of commerce to conduct a study and prepare a report to Congress on high-tech workforce training programs available in the U.S. The online survey is part of this effort. The purpose of the study and report are to provide information to all stakeholders involved in the development and improvement of training programs and IT education.
