ByJohn S. McClenahen The U.S. Commerce Department wants you! (If you're an aerospace company, that is.) The department is recruiting executives to accompany Joe Bogosian, its deputy assistant secretary for transportation, on a trade mission to South Africa in October to explore trade and investment opportunities related to the country's regional airport modernization programs and aircraft maintenance operations. The department expects to select about 15 senior executives, and it is seeking applications from such sectors of the aerospace industry as air traffic control; fire fighting and search-and-rescue; aviation fuel supply; freight handling; maintenance; ground support; infrastructure and support services; security; and finance and insurance.
