"The alliance creates a synergy between two strong organizations focused on delivering high-value IT solutions to the government and commercial markets," says Ashok Shah, vice president of Compaq Professional Services Division, North America. Bethesda, Ma.-based Lockheed Martin, while known for producing aircraft and space vehicles, also has more than $5 billion in annual sales of IT services to government and commercial customers. Houston-based Compaq designs, develops, manufactures, and markets software, hardware, solutions, and services in more than 200 countries.
