Compiled ByFrank R. Chloupek Software provider Bluewave has launched Compliance Management Solutions, a package of e-learning training courseware for employees of manufacturing divisions within pharmaceutical and other regulated industries. The course content was developed by CompuPharma Ltd. and covers topics such as good manufacturing practice (GMP) training, health & safety, analytical laboratory, microbiology laboratory, aseptic processing, finished dose, bulk and medical devices. The content can be customized for integration with existing training materials. Tony Kypreos, Bluewave commercial director, notes, "In regulated industries training is critical. Not only are companies required to conduct and record training in all their manufacturing facilities, but poor training strategies can lead to manufacturing problems, non-compliance fines, product failures and recalls, negative publicity, and loss of income." The e-learning courses can be run over the Internet, over a company's internal network or as a stand-alone product delivered via CD-ROM. Bluewave, a subsidiary of Maersk Data, has offices in New York, London and Singapore. CompuPharma Ltd. provides e-learning training solutions to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare and other regulated industries. It has offices in the U.S. and Ireland.
