Collaborative relationships between suppliers and manufacturers can improve productivity and profits, yet such relationships remain elusive for many. On Oct. 27-29, the International Quality & Productivity Center will examine how to establish sound supplier relationship management practices. The event, "Supplier Relationship Management: Developing & Implementing Sound Supplier Relationship Management Practices to Increase Your Competitive Advantage," will be held in Chicago. "Better collaboration between buyers and suppliers can drive profits and increase product innovation," says Elizabeth Mayo, director of conference planning. "A critical component of these efforts are the development of a sound strategy to improve procurement and sourcing processes that are aligned with enterprise objectives. Experts at this conference will share their experiences and review best practices using [supplier relationship management] to strengthen and enhance supply-chain operations. Organizations that will present case studies include Kellogg Co., Oracle Corp., Brunswick Corp. and Eli Lilly & Co. For more information, e-mail Doug Sohn at [email protected] or call 973/812-5190.
