The Cronos Group, a worldwide lessor of intermodal marine containers, has launched its Web-based Inventory Inquiry module. Customers can get instant access to container inventory levels at any port worldwide used by Cronos -- inquiring about container availability at a particular port, or specifying all ports within a region. They can see inventory levels for each relevant container type, and technical details for each type. Each port listing links to a Web page providing details for contacting the Cronos office or agent responsible for container inventories there. Access will be restricted to authorized customers; details are on the Web site under "On-Line Inventory Inquiry." Cronos, based in the United Kingdom, owns and manages more than 370,000 TEU (20-ft equivalent units).
