The EPA is accepting nominations for its Energy Star Small Business Awards program. Energy Star Small Business is a free service of the EPA that helps owners and operators of small businesses and organizations cut costs through energy efficiency. More than 2,000 small businesses currently participate in the program. Companies may nominate themselves, their vendors, or other small businesses. The nominated business must be a facility of 100,000 sq ft or less and may not be in the energy-equipment industry. The nominated business should be practicing exemplary energy efficiency that translates into real dollar savings. To nominate a business call 888-STAR-YES (782-7937). The deadline for applications is Mar. 30.
