The Logistics Institute of Georgia Institute of Technology will present Warehouse/Distribution Center Layout, a three-day course designed to assist managers who are facing challenges that involve material handling equipment in warehouses and plants. The course will address material handling and distribution problems from raw materials to the final consumer. The course is scheduled May 5-7 at Georgia Tech's Global Learning Center in Atlanta. The program fee is $1,900. Additionally, participants who complete the program earn 1.8 continuing education units. The program includes several case exercises and presents such topics as: systematic layout planning, profiling and inventory analysis, handling and storing equipment, estimating space requirements, and flow-of-materials analysis.
