Citizens of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland go to the polls May 22 to vote on a pending peace plan to end 30 years of civil violence between the two groups. One sign of official confidence that voters will approve the pact came 10 days ago. Gordon Brown, Britain's Chancellor of the Exchequer, announced he'd be touring 10 U.S. cities this fall seeking additional industrial investment for Northern Ireland.
