Compiled ByTraci Purdum Offering a view of asset utilization and cost of ownership, IronRhino Inc.'s Asset Information Manager Plus (AIM+) collects data from existing disparate back-office sources via wireless data loggers to provide knowledge of all equipment assets, according to the Austin, Texas-based company. "Our solution fills the gap between supply chain and MRO," says Cal Axtell, president of IronRhino. "We bring together information that is contained in various silos within and outside the organization to provide management with the ability to make knowledge-based decisions." The company says that the software can capture historic cost of ownership and usage information from day-to-day operations in order to provide ROI opportunities. The solution uses Microsoft .Net architecture, is Web-based and provides data distribution via multiple formats including XML and HTML.
